Geometric Art

Image
We were learning the names of 2-D shapes.  Look how creative we are! We have arranged many different 2-D shapes to make some really cool pictures. We were able to name and count the shapes we used and use lots of maths language to describe our art.

If I were an animal

First of all, we were learning to write informational reports. We also learnt how to research, find and organize our facts on a plan.  Then we went all imaginative and wondered ..."if I could be any type of animal....what would I be?" These are the animals we came up with. You can tell from our writing that many of the facts we found out about real animals diet, habitat and special features have influenced our writing.  We then had fun sketching our animal, then using crayon and dye to complete the pictures. Enjoy looking at them!

Fun Water Day

Image
We had been learning about keeping safe in the sun and working together as a team.  We made up some amazing teams, chose names, made wristbands and chose our costumes. In the morning we did activities in the gym.  Some of the Intermediate students came to help supervise our games.  They were AWESOME thanks 'blue shirts' we couldn't have had so much fun without your help! In the afternoon we had activities out on the field and lots of parents came to look, help and join in.  Some of the challenges involved water....and there was quite a lot of 'getting wet' but nobody minded! It was all so much fun.  Thanks, Mr Williams for helping us with the hoses and joining in the fun too. It was such a fun way to play and stay safe in the sun and with water.  We discovered lots of strategies for working well in a team too. Thanks to all the adults who came to help...we couldn't have fun days like this without all your help and support.
